Just in case it’s relevant, I notice that in the M-Audio control panel, when I click the “Setup” button at the top, the pop-up window does not display immediately – it kind of “unfolds” in a gradual and jerky fashion. In Reaper bit mode the same driver works!

This is despite the fact that I have attempted to lock the frequency at max. Will it let you change settings for each unit?
I think this problem started immediately after the most recent Windows 10 update. I see what you mean. I know…the TI firewire chipset and the Round-trip latency are huge subjects not related yltra this post. For anyone coming across this thread, I recommend staying with the old 6. Sometimes the interface simply wont install I missed the 8R, and I was thinking of the older units.
Bob – it’s pretty rare when I disagree with you, but I think you’ve missed a point here. I just asked it it ould work ok, considering that the 2 interfaces would be the same it should not be out fastt sinc problems Regards, Danny. That problem has gone now.
ASIO drivers for the Fast Track USB interface?
The time now ulyra In fact it’s working better than ever with the most recent drivers. I was using the power adaptor from a different laptop – still a Dell, but a different model. Find More Posts by chucky5p. Considering the cost of buying several Fast Track Ultras, and potential problems getting them to work together, maybe something like the Line6 UX8 would be a more plausible solution.
The Fast Track is designed to be a solo unit. Yltra driver itself has do be ‘chained’ to another interface. That, however, should not be a problem.
The interface m-audio Fast Track Ultra seems to be very decent and affordable.
